Singing, working out, spending time with her family

Ashley King

Ashley is a Piedmont-Triad native. She’s from Clemmons and has lived in the area all her life. She’s also had a passion for skincare most of her life—since high school to be exact. Ashley’s been a licensed esthetician since 2006 and she got certified in lash extensions in 2017. She started her career when she was 21 while working under her favorite mentor, Susan Torella at Avesta, who took her under her wing and showed her the ropes. In 2020, she joined the team at Alkali where she’s been beautifying faces ever since!

When it comes to taking care of your skin, Ashley’s top tips are to wash your makeup off every night (even if you don’t feel like it), use Vitamin A, and never, ever go without an eye cream. She also wishes every one of her beautiful clients would invest in Environ products for home use—because your skin is worth it!

One of the biggest skincare emergencies she’s fixed was when one of her clients singed half of her lashes off while cooking over a grill—talking about cooking with fire! Thankfully, Ashley came to the rescue with lash extensions and her client’s lashes looked as good as new. When asked what celebrity she’d love to makeover, Ashley immediately named Mariah Carey—but not because she needs one, just because she loves her!

While she’s a skincare professional, she still loves hair. One of her biggest hair disasters was when someone dyed her hair almost black. Her favorite hair style is when she has super blonde extensions. She especially loves tape-in extensions because they give her the full, thick hair she just wasn’t born with. Her favorite hair product is Oribe’s Imperial Blowout Cream because they make her blowouts last and last!

When she’s not making your skin gorgeous, Ashley loves singing, working out, and spending time with her family.
