Lydia’s from the Sandhills of North Carolina. She lived in the Winston Salem area during her high school years (90s-00s) and then moved back to Winston in 2017.

Before coming to Alkali, Lydia was a customer success manager and project manager in the tech industry for eight years. But before that, she was a childbirth and lactation educator and birth doula! That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a love for beauty or no experience in beauty, though. Lydia also has professional experience on the retail side of Ulta Beauty.

Lydia specializes in creating amazing customer experiences and enjoys working with people. She especially loves when people have stories that surprise her. So, if you have any fun stories to share, Lydia’s all ears!

Her personal favorite hair product is pretty much anything that gives her fine, thin hair volume. She’s always been a little envious of people with big, beautiful hair. Lucky for Lydia, she’s got a ton of incredible products to choose from now!

When it comes to hair, her worst-ever hairstyle was when she decided to take her color into her own hands. Let’s just say it didn’t work out. Her roots were orange, and the rest was dark brown—oops!

Lydia’s favorite style is her current one. Brittney recently cut her hair and gave her some very sexy curtain bangs with perfect layers for hot, just rolled out of bed look.

As a mom of four, Lydia knows all too well the importance of pampering yourself—especially since hormones can wreak havoc on your appearance. Self care is necessary and worth it—and you deserve it!
