Covid-19 Policies

Update: As of March 1, 2022, we are mask-optional. If you would prefer your stylist to still wear a mask during your visit, don't hesitate to ask - we'll be happy to accommodate! 

Rest assured, the health and safety of our clients and staff is our top priority. But this includes your mental health too. So While you’re here, we want the vibe to be positive and relaxing. Let your visit be your mental escape from the outside world! 

To ensure you feel safe, we are implementing the following protocols along with our regular sanitation procedures. These protocols also satisfy state and county guidelines for salons:

  • Please note:  For your safety, no drink service is available at this time  and no outside food is allowed in the salon. We thank you for your understanding.

  • We will be operating by appointment only.

  • If you have come into contact with anyone with symptoms or if you have had symptoms within 2 weeks of your appointment, please reschedule.

  • There will be a temperature check at the door for clients and employees.

  • Clients should wash hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering - stylists will wash hands between each client.

  • There will be touchless sanitizers at each stylist station and at the front desk.

  • All clients and stylists must wear a mask that hooks behind the ears for the duration of your appointment. For color appointments, we will provide you with a mask that can be ruined with color so that yours will not be damaged. 

  • In addition to masks, stylists will also wear face shields and eye covering when warranted.

  • At this time, there can be no one in the waiting area. You must wait in your car or outside until your appointment time.

  • Come alone. Only the person with the appointment is allowed in the salon.

  • If changing into a gown, personal items must remain with you and cannot be stored in the restroom.

  • Please consider paying with a credit card, or the card on file, and tip via venmo to minimize contact.

  • Limited drink service, bottled water only.

  • Fresh, clean cape for each client.

  • Stylists will take their breaks and lunch outside of the salon and adhere to social distancing at all times.

  • Products will be sold from stylist stations whenever possible.

  • Your stylist will prebook your next appointment from their station whenever possible.

  • AIR is temporarily closed through at least the end of February 2021.


As we move through each phase, we will continue to update our procedures and remain fluid as we navigate through this situation.

Please help us help you and others by taking personal responsibility and adhering to these safety precautions as well as honoring our existing cancellation policy with a 24-hour notice. For hair stylists, providing services is our livelihood, and while things may be different now, we’ll do everything we can to ensure you still have a wonderful salon experience and fabulous hair!
