Diane Cunningham

Massage Therapist

Diane is originally from Texas and has lived in the Winston Salem area since February 2025. She was drawn to massage therapy after experiencing 12 years of chronic back pain, where massage therapy was instrumental in her recovery.

Once she got into it, she found she loved massage work and finds it an incredibly rewarding career. So much so that she’s been a massage therapist for 25 years and is licensed in four states: Texas, Connecticut, New York, and North Carolina.

For 16 years, she ran a private clinical practice in Connecticut, where she collaborated with Osteopathic and Allopathic doctors, Chiropractors, and Acupuncturists to help foster a mutually respectful relationships with her clients and within the community. In Texas, she worked at an upscale spa and retreat environment and has experience at small private practices there as well.

Diane’s favorite massage technique is providing therapeutic, deep relaxation massage therapy. Her least favorite massage experience is when a therapist is detached and whose pressure is too light. One of her biggest challenges she’s helped a client overcome is when a client was unable to move due to a muscle seizure.

An ideal client for Diane is someone who is authentic and reflective and who is open to healing. She meets each client with a deep gratitude for putting their trust in her.  Diane always takes the time to listen to her clients and meet them where. She finds this is the best way to facilitate maximum healing and most relaxing experience.

Testimonials

I live with lupus of the central nervous system and chronic pain is a constant in my life. Massage is often more of a management tool than a luxury—something to survive, not savor. But today, with Diane, something remarkable happened.  For the first time in I-don’t-know-how-long, my body moved out of survival mode. I felt my nervous system shift from fight or flight into rest and digest. That transition was so profound it almost brought me to tears. Diane’s work is more than just technically excellent—it’s intuitive, nurturing, and deeply restorative.

I booked a head spa treatment with Diane, and it was absolutely incredible. The woman has MAGIC hands. Not only was the scalp treatment and water bath incredibly relaxing and refreshing (I fell asleep I was so at ease), the head massage portion of the experience was DIVINE. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed, AND my hair was so soft and clean. I will definitely be back!
