Laser Treatments

Planning ahead for laser hair removal or a laser skin treatment is crucial. For best results:

• Your skin color should be at its natural shade. Avoid being in the sun, using tanning beds, or using self-action tanners four weeks prior to your procedure, as tanning introduces an increased risk for pigmentation changes. You should also remain out of the sun for a minimum of two weeks after laser treatment.

• Do not wax, tweeze, color, bleach, use hair removal creams, or have electrolysis on the area(s) being treated for at least four weeks before or during the entire course of your treatment. Shaving and clipping are permitted, and as often as desired.

• Avoid neurotoxin injections (Botox, Jeuveau, Dysport, Xeomin, etc.) for a minimum of one week prior and one week after treatment.
   

• Avoid dermal fillers at least two weeks prior and two weeks after treatment.

• Discontinue anticoagulants (aspirin, vitamin E, fish oil, ibuprofen, etc) if medically cleared to do so seven days prior to procedure. 

• Discontinue use of Retin-A, Renova, Differin, Tretinoin, Tazorac, glycolic acids, vitamin C products, skin rejuvenating products, and any other potential irritants seven days prior to treatment.

• Shave the treatment area the night before or morning of your scheduled treatment.

• Arrive at your laser appointment without any jewelry, makeup, moisturizers, lipstick, or other skincare products at the anticipated treatment site(s) if possible.
