LaTrinda Moore
she/her
Esthetician
LaTrinda is originally from Havelock, North Carolina, near Morehead City and Atlantic Beach. She made Winston Salem her home in 2020, but in between, she's lived in Charlotte and Greensboro, as well as Nashville and Kansas City.
It wasn't until 2017, after having worked over 11 years in the Guildford County Schools system, that she realized she wanted to be an esthetician. With her children becoming more independent, she decided it was time to think about her next life chapter. She was already interested in the spa and wellness industry, so the decision was easy. LaTrinda enrolled at the Aveda Institute Chapel Hill to become a licensed esthetician and never looked back.
LaTrinda's ideal client is someone who is open-minded, relaxed, and willing to trust the experience. She truly wants you to enjoy being taken care of! She loves meeting all kinds of people, whether talkative or quiet, and especially likes it when someone values self care and is curious about their skin. Her goal is for her guests to feel comfortable being themselves during their service.
When it comes to services, LaTrinda's specialty is in renewal and customization. From restoring hydration and enhancing your natural glow to improving the look and feel of skin texture, she loves combining customized skin care and intentional touch with advanced skin treatments like DiamondGlow, Hydrafacial, TriaWave, and Head Spas to create the ulitmate guest experience. She absolutely adores the facial massage aspects and hands-on techniques, as she can combine effective skincare with relaxation. This lets guests leave looking and feeling refreshed, which she firmly believes is an important part of overall wellness. She also finds the ability to assess what the skin needs and craft treatment plans around each individual guest extremely satisfying.
One of the biggest skin challenges LaTrinda corrected was when a client came in with extremely red, inflamed, and peeling skin and who was in obvious discomfort. Rather than aggressively treating the skin, she chose a gentle, calming facial that would provide comfort and support the compromised skin. She also took the time to discuss his lifestyle habits and made professional recommendations for how to make connections between habits and how they affected the skin. Upon returning a few weeks later, the client had noticeably healthier-looking skin. Because of this experience, it always takes the time to treat the whole person instead of just what she sees on the surface.
Her most challenging personal skin issues occur during seasons of hormonal changes and stress or when her nutrition and hydration levels aren't at their best. However, these issues have also taught her the connection between skin health and overall wellness. Because she's experienced her own skin dilemmas, she finds it highly motivating to help others have great skin and provide education on how your daily habits and lifestyle can affect the way skin looks and feels.
